Zackry Austin

Zackry Austin grew up in North Texas and in 2010 made his first visit to Chaffee County.  After marrying his wife, who grew up here, they move here permanently in 2013.  In November 2014 Zack joined the fire department as a volunteer. He joined the staff in August of 2022.  Zack has certifications in Firefighter 1, Hazmat Ops, as well as several wildland certs such as FFT1 and Engine Boss Trainee.  Zack is a husband and father of 6.  In his off time, he spends a lot of time with family.  Zack loves the community here in Chaffee County and is proud to be serving it as a Firefighter.
